FLOODING IN THAMES DISTRICT
(P.A.) THAMES, July 3. Heavy rain has caused widespread flooding in the Thames district. Coromandel is cut off by road after a slip on the Kereta hill and the partial collapse of a road bridge. Hundreds of acres were inundated when the Kauaeranga river swept over its banks. Tn Thames about a dozen houses were surrounded by water.
