FOOD SHORTAGE IN INDIA
NEGOTIATIONS WITH AUSTRALIA
(Rec. 7 p.m.) NEW DELHI, June 17. A spokesman of the Central Food Department said that to meet India’s worst food crisis for three years senior officials had been sent to Australia to negotiate for additional wheat and coarse grain immediately. Negotiations were proceeding with Argentina for food grain. A wheat mission might visit Canada and the United States.
