DUCK SHOOTING
Sir, —Of about 20 of my acquaintances who are great duck shooting enthusiasts, not one is a returned serviceman from either war. In fact, one of them served a term of imprisonment to avoid serving. After thinking it over, I wonder if this may be a means of avoiding future Wars? If the male youth of the aggressive nations could be trained to satisfy their lust for killing by the “sport” of duck shooting, which does not incur retaliation, perhaps the problem of future wars could be solved.—Yours, S C LAME DUCK. 1 May 7, 1947.
