UNO SESSION ON PALESTINE
Jewish Part In Discussions COMMITTEE TO HEAR AGENCY (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) NEW YORK, May 5. By a compromise reached late today' the Jewish Agency for Palestine will be given a hearing before the United Nations General Assembly’s Political Committee. The same committee will decide whether it will hear other organisations seeking a voice in the Palestine debate, including the Arab Higher Committee. The compromise followed the defeat of the Polish resolution providing that the Jewish Agency should be heard by the Assembly in plenary session. The compromise was supported by Britain. America, and Russia. The United States thus receded considerably from its first position last week when it opposed either the Asembly or its committees hearing the Jewish Agency.
