CHILD’S BODY FOUND IN CREEK
The body of the 19-months-old boy who disappeared from his home at 58 Averill street. Shirley, on Tuesday morning, was found by policemen dragging Dudley creek yesterday. The child was Patrick Anthony Fraher. the youngest o'f five children of Mr and Mrs j. m. Fraher. The creek flows behind the he use. and is separated from it by a picket fence and a gate. It joins the Avon river, and it was nesr this point that the body was found. An extensive search for the child was conducted by the police from Tuesday morning until yesterday morning. A party under Sergeant G C. Donnellv found the child. A verdict that death was the result of asphyxia through drowning in creek w-s returned by the Cnroner (Mr Raymond Ferner), at an mquect last evening at the Christchurch Public Hospital.
