AUSTRALIAN FOOD FOR BRITAIN
CABINET COMMITTEE TO CONSIDER INCREASE
(Rec. 7 p.m.) CANBERRA, April 16. A sub-committee of the Federal Cabinet has been appointed to determine what steps Australia can take to increase supplies of food for Britain. The Prime Minister (Mr J. B. Chifley) said that the whole question of food for Britain should be examined by the -sub-committee, which would begin inquiries immediately.
It consists of the Ministers of Commerce, Post-war Reconstruction, Works and Housing, Munitions, and Customs.
