WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
Mairehau.—A talk on Campbell Island was given by Mrs Brockie, at the monthly meeting of the Mairehau Women’s Institute. The president (Mrs Sturgess) presided. Competitions were judged by Mesdames Law, Wilkin, and Waugh, and resulted as follows:—best carrot, Mrs Perry 1, Mrs Dangerfield 2,. Miss Leckie 3; individual dish salad, Mrs Smith 1, Mrs Forsyth 2, Mrs Sheffield 3: embroidered tea towel, Mrs McKenzie 1, Mrs Forsyth 2, tyliss Leckie and Mrs Smith (equal) 3.
