ANNUAL FIELD DAY The Ellesmere Collie Dog Club’s annual field day was . held at Otahuna. The judges were Messrs F. W. fiecken and J. Jackson. Results:— Head and hold in ring: G. Grieve’s Tex 89 points. 1; T. McKay’s Cloud, 85 points, 2; D. Sparks’s Queen. 84 points. 3; R. McKay’s Doon. 82J points, 4. Yarding: F. Hunt’s Dick, 20 points, 1; S. Fenton’s Spot, 19J points. 2; G. Grieve’s Tex. 19 points, 3; W. Williams’s Ted, 17 points, 4. Huntaway: H. L. Scott’s Bill, 89 points, 1; S. Simpson’s Bruce, 79 points, 2; G. Clark’s Sharp, 78 points, 3; B. Sparks’s Pip Again, 60 points, 4. FIELD DAY AT LEAMINGTON The annual field day dog trials, organised by Leamington residents, was held on the Sloss Estate recently. More than 50 dogs competed. The sum of £4O was realised as a restilt of the trials and given to the local school funds. The judge was Mr D. McLaren. Results were:— Head and Hold in Ring.—P. Costello’s Chief 1; J. Beckett’s Moss 2; L. Mcßae’s Gyp 3. Huntaway.—P. Brophy’s Rae 1; A Aubrey’s Queen 2; D. Saunders's Bounce The special award for the oldest competitor was won by Mr C. G. Abbott, and that for the youngest competitor was won by B. Childs.
