CENSORSHIP OF FILMS

Sir,-—There was no haste in my reply to "Timothy’s” letter proclaiming the glad tidings, as he amusingly puts it, nor did I fail, previously, to estimate correctly his personal religious bias. As a "freethinker,” I merely chose to ignore it; and if “Timothy” had used a little more of that intelligence he so freely applies to others in a critical manner, in trying to discern more accurately the context of my letter, he would have realised that his narrow interpretation thereof was irrelevant to the more comprehensive issues involved; namely, that censorship of undesirable, immoral films is urgently needed here, regardless of what theme, setting, or religious aspect is used in the film.—Yours, etc., CENSORSHIP. April 14, 1947.
