GUERRILLAS SUFFER HEAVY LOSSES
FOUR-DAY BATTLE WITH GREEK ARMY (Rec. 7 p.m.) ATHENS, March 30. Fifteen hundred guerrillas suffered heavy losses in a four-day battle with the Greek Army south-west of Lamia. The troops captured many guerrillas and counted 123 dead. Aeroplanes are strafing guerrillas on the barren mountains.
The Greek Navy has proclaimed that the coast of Thessaly is a prohibited zone, and has threatened to sink vessels in that area. The measure is apparently aimed at preventing the guerrillas escaping by sea from the Mount Olympus area.
