COLOMBO STREET PROPERTY SOLD FOR £8940
The block of buildings at 631-635 Colombo street was approved for sale at £8940 by the Christchurch Urban Land Sales Committee yesterday. The purchasers, Drayton-Jones, Ltd., claimed that the whole future of the firm depended on the transaction. When the application was first considered by the committee last year the price sought was £ll.OOO. The Crown valuation was £7325. George Wilfred Drayton was the vendor.
