RECTOR OF TIMARU BOYS’ HIGH SCHOOL
APPOINTMENT ANNOUNCED From Our Own Reporter (P.A.) TIMARU, January 22. Selected from 41 applicants. Mr Mervyn Ansley Bull. M.Sc., 8.C0m.. was chosen to-day as rector of the Timaru Boys’ High School. He will succeed Mr A. G. Tait, who will retire this term. Mr Bull is at present second assistant at the Thames High School. He left- New Zealand with the 2nd Echelon, was captured in the battle for Crete and was a prisoner of war for four years. He organised educational classes in a number of Oflags He was educated at the Christchurch Boys’ High School and Canterbury University* College, where he graduated. He is 39 years of age. is married and has one child.
