ITALIAN PREMIER’S RESIGNATION
PRESIDENT’S EFFORTS TO SOLVE CRISIS
(Rec. 7 p.m.) ROME. January 21. The Italian President, Mr de Nicola, has called in three former Prime Ministers to help him solve the crisis following the resignation of Mr de Gasperi, the present Prime Minister. Mr de Nicola wants a government representing as many parties as possible, but the main difficulty seems to be that no party' is willing to accept responsibility for the Italian peace treaty.
