FUTURE OF SUDAN
EGYPTIAN SENATE’S RESOLUTION CALL /FOR RESIGNATION OF PREMIER CAIRO, January 21. The Egyptian Senate, after defeating a Government motion for the adjournment of the debate on the Sudan until January 28, passed a resolution by a large majority which read: “The Senate considers Egypt and the Sudan as one and indivisible, and the British Government is not entitled to make any change in the Sudan’s status.” The Wafdist Opposition leader (Sabry Abdullah Pasha) called on the Prime Minister (Nokrashy Pasha), who was absent, to resign because “after 40 days in power it is obvious that he has failed in his mission.”
