CHARTER FLIGHT TO NEW ZEALAND
GREEK SEAMEN FROM • ATHENS LONDON, January 20. “Air Vice-Marshal D. C. T. Bennett, who operates an air transport service, will make a special charter flight io New Zealand at the end of January,” Says the “Evening News." “He is taking 21 Greek seamen from Athens to Wellington, and he hopes to do the trip in 68 hours’ flying time. “His crew includes several New Zealanders, who are going home for the first time since the war. Air ViceMarshal Bennett’s wife, Mrs Elso Bennett, who is a Swiss, will probably travel as air hostess.” Association Football in Britain.— In a third round replay of the Football Association Cup competition, Chelsea beat Arsenal by 2 goals to 0. —London, January 20. •
