A party of Hawke’s Bay trampers, while traversing the Kaimanawa Ranges, near Lake Taupo, during the Christmas holidays, met a pair of bearded deer-stalkers. The cullers had not heard the results of the General Election and were glad to receive firsthand accounts of how the voting went.
