WOMAN FOUND DROWNED
(P.A.) WHANGAREL January 20. Mrs Elizabeth Ellen McCartney, aged 66. was found drowned in a creek at the back of the Okaihap railway station yesterday afternoon. She had been living with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs Coles, at Okaihau, since the death of her husband 15 months ago. After having afternoon tea she said she was going for a walk. As she did not return a search was made by the Coles, who found her body in the creek.
