LYTTELTON TUG NOT CALLED
So far, no call has been made for the services of the Lyttelton Harbour Board’s tug, Lyttelton 11, to assist in refloating the Wanganella. The Lyttelton II s one of the most powerful tugs in New Zealand, being similar to the Auckland tug. William C. Daldy. It would require a few hours to fit the Lyttelton II for sea and to sign on a crew, and it would take the tug from 13 to 14 hours to steam to Wellington
