CHRISTIANITY IN JAPAN
STATEMENT BY KAGAWA TOKYO, January 15. Dr. Toyohiko Kagawa, the Japanese evangelist, said in Tokyo that “Christianity is spreading like a flame of fire throughout Japan.” Since June 20,000 converts had embraced the Christian faith. At least 10.000 foreign missionaries were needed. Dr. Kagawa said that Japan was for 1 tunate in having the ’‘prayerful Gen- < ®ral MacArthur as Supreme Com- -1 mander. His prayer is finding its way J mto the hearts of the Japanese 1 People.” J
