PARTY LEADERS CONFER WITH PRESIDENT (N.Z, Press Association—Copyright)
(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, January 13. Reports reaching Vienna fromßnda* pest say tension has risen in-the Hungarian capital, says Reuter’s corres* pendent in Vienna. The leaders of the political parties are conferring with the president, Dr. Zoltan Tilfiy. The Communists are said to be demanding the expulsion of all Right Wing members from the Government. High civil servants are reported to be involved in a new wave of arrests. If the Communists succeeded in securing the expulsion of the Right Wing members, the Smallholders Party could pot continue in office as the governing party. There would remain only a small group of Left Wing Smallholders who might join the Communists to form a coalition government.
