HAGLEY CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD A marked increase in membership was recorded in the annual report presented to the Hagley Golf Club on Monday, when the president, Mr J. C. Cullman, presided over an attendance of 35 members. “We feel,” said the committee, “that the club is recovering from the severe strain caused by war, and we look forward to the complete restoration of Hagley this year as a vigorous and prosperous club.” Total membership stood at 313. The exces -, of income over expenditure for the year was £132, and green fees were a record. An order had been placed in Australia for a new mower. It was decided to affiliate with the Metropolitan Golf Association. Officers were elected as follows: patron. Mrs George Harris; president. Mr J. J. Staples; vice-president, Mr L. F. Sopp. RAWHITI CLUB The closing day of the RawHlti .Golf Club was held at the week-end, when there was a large attendance of members and visitors. The Mayor (Mr E. H. Andrews) presented trophies won during the season as follows: Senior championship (Shaw -Cup), N. Barritt; intermediate championship (Lovell Cup), ■L. Higgins; junior championship (Lyttel Cup), L. Kirk; Stevenson Cup, J. R. Davis; Mitchell Cup, C. Shaw; A. W. Jones Cup, J. R. Davis; Thos. Robins Memorial Cup, J. J. Potts; Veterans’ Cup, J. B. McClymont; Rawhiti Aggregate Pairs Cup, H. N. Jarvis and J. J. Potts; Raeburn Cup. Mr and Mrs J. J. Potts. Mr J. N. Clarke presented trophies to the winners of ladies’ club competitions as follows: —senior championship, Mrs A. B. L. Smith (Bishop Cup): junior championship. Miss I. Lyttle (Miles Cup); Gudgeon Cup. Mrs A. P. Hobson: Watson Cup, Mrs A B. L. Smith. Closing day competitions resulted:— men: driving, W. J. Deans; approaching, M. Oates; putting, W. S Brown. Ladies: driving Mrs A. Low; approaching, Mrs J. J. Potts; putting, Mrs E. W. Christiansen. A mixed foursomes match resulted in a win for H. N.
