Belfast U.S.A.—The annual ‘smoko” of the Belfast sub-branch' of the Returned Services’ Association . was held recently in the clubrooms, with Mr J. J. Noonan presiding. Mr C Milri (district vice-president) and representatives of the Christchurch executive, seven suburban committees, Veterans’ Association, and Home Servicemen’s Association were present. Several toasts were honoured, and a concert party provided by Mr J. A. Gregor (Christchurch executive) contributed items. A representative of the Veterans’ Association made a presentation of ash trays to the subbranch in appreciation of past hospitality, and during the 9 o’clock silence a framed photograph of a member who died recently was unveiled.
