IMMIGRANTS TO SOUTH AFRICA
MEASURES TAKEN BY GOVERNMENT
(Rec, 7.30 p.m.) JOHANNESBURG. Sept 19. Under a new policy for speeding up immigration, the South African Government is considering the charter of special ships and the conversion ot disused military camps for reception depots. Three special immigration committees, comprising representatives of the Department of Laoour and the Department of Commerce and Industries, are leaving for Europe soon to interview prospective immigrants.
