N.Z. ASSISTANCE NOT NEEDED
(From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, September 20. Reassuring reports have been received from Niuafoou Island and the New Zealand Government has been advised that its offer of help will not have to be accepted. The New Zealand Naval Board today received the following message from the British Consul at Tonga: “Reassuring reports received from Niuafoou and no further assistance is required. The Tongan Government greatly appreciates your offer/' The Arbutus is in port at Wellington.
