GREEK FRONTIER INCIDENTS
CLASHES REPORTED IN ATHENS “NORTHERN NEIGHBOURS” BLAMED ATHENS, September 18. . The Deputy-Prime Minister ot Greece (General Gonatas) has stated, according to a dispatch from Epirus, that 400 bandits infiltrated from Albania and attacked the village of Zacharochorl, which was defended by only 25 Greeks, half of whom were killed in the ensuing battle. Reinforcements were rushed to the spot and repelled the attackers. Another report from Janina said that 300 Albanian partisans attacked the village of Prysbyanni and killed five Greeks. The correspondent of the Associated Press quotes official quarters a« sayjog that Greece is preparing a documented case to present to the United Nations, showing that the Leftist bands operating in northern Greece are supported end supplied by her northern neighbours. It is disclosed that the Greek destroyers Themistocles and Miaqulis have been ordered to Malta to embark the King of Greece, who is expected from London by air about September 25. The correspondent of the Exchange Telegraph Agency in Athens sajra that the newspapers confirm that the EAM (Left Wing resistance movement) leaders are quitting Greece. The Sec-retary-Genera! (Mr Zachariades), his wife, and child, are going to Prague, and a former Minister. Mr Porphyrogenis, has applied for a foreign passport. The British Mediterranean Fleet left Malta to-day. It is expected in Greek waters on September 20, after which, about September 28. it will disperse to various .Greek ports before leaving for Cyprus about October 3.
