British Challenge Golf Match.— Bobby Locke and Norman von Nida won their 72-hole chaUenge match against Dai Rees and Charles Ward, *4 up and 3 to play. Rees and Ward retained their overnight lead of three holes to the thirteenth of to-day’s 36 holes, after which two birdies by Locke •'and one by von Nida squared the match at the eighteenth. The Dominion players went ahead for the first time in the match at the twentieth, where Locke scored a birdie 4. Two more birdies to von Nida at the twenty-third and twenty-seventh gave him and Locke a 3-up lead. The next four holes were halved, but Rees and Ward blundered at the thirty-second, where Locke and von Nida became dormie 4. A half in three at the short thirty-third settled the match. Today’s golf was not of a high standard, as the players had to battle through blustering rainstorms.—London, September 18.
