FLOWER SHOW AT DIAMOND HARBOUR The suitability of the district for raising early flowers and vegetables was shown at the annual spring flower show of the Diamond Harbour-Purau branch c-f the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union held on Wednesday in the Diamond Harbour Golf Club’s pavilion. A splendid display was made with flowers and vegetables well in advance of those grown on the Lyttelton side of the harbour. Mesdames G. Smith and J. Stanley were the judges, and the prize-winners were Mesdames J.. Hunter, W. Manson, C. Paine. W. Paine, H. Mackay, R. Candy, and Barker.
