MEMORY OF MAORI V.C. WINNER HONOURED.—The Ngarimu playing field at Te Wai Pounamu Maori Girls’ College was officially opened yesterday. The field is dedicated to the memory of SecondLieutenant Moana Nui a Kiwa Ngarimu, the first Maori to win the Victoria Cross. This photograph shows pupils of the college rendering one of the dedicatory songs at the ceremony.
