A young sunfish which was stranded on the beach at Okain’s Bay. It was found by Mr Digby Smith, of Akaroa, and sent by Mr L. Vangioni to the Canterbury Museum, where a cast is being made for exhibition. Sunfish inhabit tropical waters, but occasionally are found as far south as Banks Peninsula.
