OFFICIAL RESULT OF POLL
_ - - PARIS, May 6. The French Ministry of the Interior has announced that the voting on the Constitution resulted: No, 10.455,708; Yes, 9.284,098.
Votes are still to come from overseas possessions, but they cannot affect the result. Fifty-three per cent, of the voters voted “No” and 47 pek cent, voted “Yes.” Twenty per cent, of the electorate did not vote. The political parties will meet tomorrow and it is probable that the Prime Minister (M. Gouin) will ask the President of the Assembly (M. Vincent Auriol) to convene the Assembly on Thursday, when M. Gouin intends to hand in his resignation. It is probable.that M. Gouin will be asked to remain in power with his Ministers until the elections.
