OBITUARY
MR R. L. KENNETT The death occurred on Sunday of Mr R. L. Kennett, a well-known Christchurch businessman, and an official of several sporting organisations. He was an active worker in the interests of motor-cycling and won a number of races on the track and in beach races held at New Brighton. He was a wellknown figure at all boxing and wrestling matches held in Christchurch, and was official timerkeeper for the Christchurch Amateur Sports Club and the Wrestling Association. He was a member of the Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Athletic Association, the Banks Peninsula Cruising Club, and the Midland Club. Mr Kennett, who was 55 years old, leaves a wife, two daughters, and a son. •
