FALL FROM MAST
SEAMAN WALKS AWAY AFTER DROP OF 40 FEET
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 6. When his tackle broke while he was painting a mast ori the ship Baltannic. at the Taranaki street wharf this morning. a seaman, J. McDiarmid. of Khandallah. fell 40 feet to the deck. He had a remarkable escape from injury, being able to get up and walk away. He was taken to the Wellington T’ospital for examination.
