Shirley Church Anniversary.— The seventh-eighth anniversary of the Shirley Methodist Church was celebrated on Sunday, when preachers at special services were the Rev. W. H. Greenslade, superintendent of the Christchurch East circuit, and the Rev. J. B. Dawson, the recently appointed minister to the church. The choir sang special anthems, and solos were sung by Misses P, Cottee, R. Emmett, and Mr C. Sharr. The organist waa Mr W. D. Marks. Thanksgiving offerings for the day totalled more than £4O.
