DISTRICT FORESTERS MEET AT ASHBURTON
The eighty-thjrd annual meeting oi the Canterbury United District. Ancient Order of Foresters, was held at Ashburton on Saturday, when the chief ranger (Sister I. M Pratt) presided The balance-sheet showed that the total funds as at December 31 last were £42,453, including the funeral fund of £22,714 The executive was requested to consider the question of a district contribution towards medical specialists' fees incurred by members District officers elected were:—chief ranger. Bro W H Amos 'Ashburton): sub-chief ranger Bro. G A Claridge (Papanui)- beadle Bro W Lloyd (Christchurch): treasurer. Bro G Osborne (Christchurch): woodward. Bro | D. C McArthur (Belfast): ritual super-j visor. Bro F H Swaney (Christ- I church); delegates to Dominion J friendly Societies' .Council Bro O Jacobsen (district secretary) *nd Sister I. M. Pratt (Christchurch)
