RUSSIAN TROOPS WITHDRAWN
ADVICE BY PERSIA EXPECTED UNO COUNCIL MEETS THIS WEEK . (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 9 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 5. “When the Security Council reconvenes, probably next Tuesday, it will be. officially informed by Persia that Russia has fulfilled her pledges made in Teheran early in April, and withdrawn her troops from all Persian provinces,” reports the “New York Times.”
“It is authoritatively learned that four Persian provinces have been completely evacuated, and that all Russian forces are expected to be out of Persia by to-morrow.”
