RANGIORA HORSE FAIR A fairly good clearance pf the 60 horses offered was made at the monthly Rangiora horse fair yesterday. The horses were of a better class than has been yarded for some time. Top price for draughts was £l9, and other good draughts made from £8 to £l4. Hacks brought from £5 to £l2. TINWALD Every pen of station cattle entered for the annual sale at Tinwald yesterday was sold by auction at satisfactory prices. There was a good attendance of buyers, some of whom attended from places outside the Ashburton County. The entry approached the 500 mark, and comprised a mixture of calves and adult cattle from stations at Mount Somers. Surrey Hills, and Ashburton Forks. A variety of breeds was offered. Prices were as follows:—store cows, £4 15s to £8 ss; yearling steers, £6 to £8 15s; 18 months steers, £8 5s to £l2 IQs; calves, £4 10s to £7 15s. MINING Arahura-Kanierl Dredges.—The two units of Gold Mines of New Zealand, Ltd.,, last month won a total of 2415 ounces of gold.
