DIAMOND WEDDING
MR AND MRS JAMES MOODY Mr and Mrs James Moody, of 16 Cumnor terrace, Radley, on Saturday last celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of their wedding. They were married at Springston on April 27, 1886. by the Rev. Dr. Elmslie, then vicar of St. Michael’s Church Both Mr and Mrs Moody’s parents were early pioneer settlers, and Mr and Mrs Moody them- • selves have lived in Christchurch during all their married life. Mrs Moody, formerly Miss Annie Rowell, is the eldest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs James Rowell, ®f Springston, who came from England in the Klontarf in 1858. Mr Moody came to New Zealand with his parents when he was four years old, and was the second son of the late Mr and Mrs David Moody, pf Stranraer, Scotland. They have four daughters, two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Their only son, David, was killed at Passchendaele in the 1914-18 war.
