DAMAGE TO INDIAN CROPS
STORMS IN CALCUTTA DISTRICT LONDON, May 2. "Damage which, it is feared, may be considerable was done to crops by flood and rains resulting from violent electrical storms in the Calcutta district,” says Reuter’s Calcutta correspondent “The wind reached a record velocity of 80 miles an hour. Full reports on the crop damage are now being made.”
