Jottints Stakes totalling £lBOO will be given at the Greymouth-Westland Trotting Club’s meeting at Greymouth on Easter Monday.
Captain Kinder showed some promise at Geraldine, and he may race well over the mile in the Mawhera Trot at Greymouth on Saturday. King High, a winner of two races this season, should be prominent from the 12 yards mark in the Trial Handicap on Saturday. Maximum is a possibility in the Progressive Handicap on Saturday. After giving away long starts, the Maxegin mare showed up at the finish of her races at Forbury. Sir Michael broke up badly at the start of the Richmond Handicap at Auckland on Saturday. Port Bowen looks a bright prospect to win one of the trotting events at Wellington next week. Corrections
The following amendments have been received for the New Brighton Handicap on the New Brighton Trotting Club’s programme: Lady Dawn 36 and Scott Axworthy 24 are acceptors; Native Scott and Trusty Scott have been withdrawn Finished Well The Gore-trained Logan Rey did not Impress in the early part of the Advance Handicap, where he did not appeal to be going smoothly, but once he settled down he showed exceptional speed over the last half-mile to make up a lot of ground and add the third prize of £6O to his long list ot minor placings. Logan Key is handily placed on the 12 yards mark in the Eclipse Handicap on Saturday, and he may be the favourite when tlie totalisator closes. Sound Idea

The Rey de Oro gelding, which now races in the interests of Messrs J McDonald and D. Patullo. showed good form earlier in the season to finish in a place m six of his seven races.
