TRANSPORT AND POWER STRIKES
MILLIONS OF PEOPLE AFFECTED
(Rec. 7.30) PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 12. Three million people in Philadelphia have been deprived of all bus, tram, subway, and elevated train services because of a strike of transport workers demanding wage increases. Pittsburgh power service employees have called a strike which threatens to cut off electricity to nearly 2,000,000 people in a 50-mile area.
