INFANTILE PARALYSIS
NO CANTERBURY CASES YESTERDAY No further cases pf infantile paralysis were reported in the Canterbury health district yesterday. However, a sufficient period has not yet elapsed to warrant a decision about reopening schools Vi W e , Timar u area, according to the Medical Officer of Health (Dr. J. H. Blakelock).
Meanwhile the Soutlj Island Maori reception executive has been advised of the desirability of postponing the suggested reception to Maori services personnel which was to have been held on March 2.
The annual church service held by girl guides, brownies, scouts, and cubs of Christchurch has been cancelled, after a meeting between leaders of the movement and the Health Department.
