INDUSTRIAL FUTURE OF HANMER
Sir.—Hanmer is destined to be a thriving township in the near future. Forest products are available in large quantities up Jollies Pass and at Balmoral. These could be used for pulping to make newsprint, wall-boards, etc. Waterpower is handy in the Rogerson and Dillon streams and is regular and plentiful. Above all, Hanmer is as healthy a spot as any. At present, there is a great demand for homes. This will provide work for returned men for years.—Yours, etc., ALERT. Hanmer, February 7, 1946.
