RETURN OF SERVICE PERSONNEL
THREE TROOPSHIPS THIS WEEK (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 7. The Minister of Defence (the Hon. F. Jones) announced to-day that the latest information was that the Athlone Castle, carrying Army, Navy, and Air Force personnel, was expected to arrive at Wellington on January 10. The Rangitata, also with returning service personnel, was expected to arrive on January 11. Mr Jones said the Otranto, with 3800 personnel aboard, would make her first port of call Lyttelton. She was expected to arrive there on January 13, after which she would proceed to Wellington, arriving the next day.
