DEATH
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 12. "This very unfortunate accident seems to me to have arisen out of the usual hazards of his occupation," said the city Coroner, Mr A. Addison, when closing the inquest into the death of Leslie Stafford, aged 18, a trimmer on the Union Steam Ship Company's vessel Korowai, who was found buried m coal in the ship's bunker about two hours after she had put to sea from Auckland on November 9 Leslie Davies, chief engineer on the Korowai, said it was brought to his notice that Stafford was missing On makl "£ 2 search of the bunkers he saw Stafford's hand and elbow protruding from under the coal.
