Both milte have been proved capableof producing high-grade building timber, including roofing shingles, at the rate of one house a week.—Yours, etc., ALP. G. HOLLAND. December 4, 1945. [This letter was referred, through the Christchurch office, to the head office of the State Forest Service in Wellington.
