ELECTION OF OFFICERS
PARENTS' EDUCATIONAL
UNION
Many useful activities carried out by members were recorded in the twenty-fourth annual report of the Parents' National Educational Union, presented at the annual meeting held last evening at 'the Canterbury Women's Club. The branch had provided and served me-ls at the Welcome Club, had helped with the packing of servicemen's parcels and in the sale of health stamps, and had done its share in other branches of welfare work. The report suggested to the incoming committee that during the coming year, meetings, except in the coldest months, should be held in the evenings, that lecturers be asked to speak at these meetings, and that an attempt should be made to increase the membership. The statement of receipts and expenditure showed a satisfactory credit balance.
