REUNION OF OLD BOYS

The need for vigilance on the part of all citizens to prevent any nation acting as Germany and Japan had done was emphasised by Mr J. K. Moloney, who spoke at the reunion dinner t of the Christchurch West High School Old Boys' Association last evening. Ideas and patriotism fostered in schools could-do much to make' persons realise that the British wey of living was important, and worthy of protection, said Mr Moloney. More than 170 former pupils attended the function, which was the first held since' the outbreak of war, 'and representatives of the old boys' associations of St. Andrew's College, St. Bede's College, and the Christchurch Boys' High School, also attended. Lieutenant E. K. Phillips, president of the association, paid a tribute to; the work - done by the school and the former pupils for old boys who served overseas.
