WAGES OF SERVICEWOMEN TRAINEES

An increase in the wages payable to former servicewomen trainees under the Rehabilitation Board’s trade training scheme has been announced in a statement from the Rehabilitation Department. Previously the trainees were paid £2 15s a week where board was not provided, and £1 15s a week where board was provided, and where it was thought necessary a supplementary boarding allowance of 10s a week. The rates are now £3 and £2 a week, with the supplementary boarding allowance remaining as before.
