SNOOKER CHAMPIONSHIPS CONTINUED
The New Zealand amateur snooker championships were continued yesterday at the Christchurch Working Men's Club. five games being played in the quarterfinals. " Results were:— T. Yesberg (Waimate) beat L. Blackabv (Wellington) by three games to two. The scores were: Yesberg. 51, 39. 26. 49. 67: Blackaby. 42, 70, 58, 42, 29. W. H. Thompson (Auckland) beat A Rudduck (Otago) by three games to one The scores were: Thompson, 47. 50. 61, 70: Rudduck, 62, 48. 37. 48. W. McCowatt (Auckland) beat J. Munro (Canterbury) by three games to two. The scores were: McCowatt, 63. 31, 27, 56, 59; Munro, 50. 70. 71, 40. 31. S. Moses (Wellington) beat V. Choai (Canterbury) by three games to two The scores were: Moses, 33. 40. 71, 72. 55Choat. 78. 49, 59. 17, 20 G. Southerwood (Canterbury) beat W Smith (Canterbury) by three games to two.
