ROYAL VISIT TO ULSTER

KING AND QUEEN BACK IN LONDON LONDON, July 19. The King and Queen, with Princess Elizabeth, returned to Buckingham Palace to-day after theit two-day visit to Northern Ireland. The Royal Family’s journey occupied slightly under three hours. They were met at Hendon by Air Marshal Sir Ralph Cochrane, Air Officer commanding Royal Air Force Transport Command. The weather during the flight was not ideal, the Royal aeroplane for part of the Journey flying through thick cloud. Their Majesties and Princess Elizabeth at Londonderry reviewed the Ulster Special Constabulary, watched a march past of local organisations, and inspected surrendered U;boats. Three hundred guests, including Lady Montgomery, mother of FieldMarshal Sir Bernard Montgomery, were present at a luncheon to the Kipg, the Queen, and Princess Elizabeth at the Londonderry Guildhall. There were cheers for the King and Queen and a special one for the Princess, who was on her first visit to Londonderry. After lunch the King, the Queen, and Princess Elizabeth were taken round the ancient Londonderry Cathedral. The Royal party spent an hour and a half at a garden party in Brooke Park where they met representative men and women of the country, before leaving for the Eglington air station where thev boarded a Dakota to return to England.
